Simplicity in complexity.

Oscillating between simplicity and complexity, in both colour choice and composition Emrach Uskovski challenge our perception by inviting the viewer with the beauty in harmony and balance, to make us discover topics of more alarming matter. These paintings show female characters in an unidentifiable universe often with elements from nature and the animal world all coming together in a visuality of dreams.

Beauty.

Shifting illusively between known and unknowns, dreams and reality, abstract forms and recognisable beings, the artist serves messages that gives deeper perspective and reflection evoked by enhanced positivity, life and beauty. A beauty that lies within finding absolute simplicity, juxtaposed with both vivid and smooth colours side by side. Hence, the painter questions even the darkest shade by replacing it with a happy colour full of energy.

Contrasts.

Born in 1992 in Slovakia, Uskovski’s artistic practice gravitates around a vast palette of cultural references where you often find these contrasts, any thing from Japanese wood cut and manga to street art, popular culture and classical music. He started with wall paintings in order to reach out to an audience that do not normally get the chance to encounter art and translated it to big scale canvas further on.
